Smiling woman
Do I have to remain in the CNPP?
How does the CNPP pension scheme work?

Introduction

Note to Users of this Website

At present the content of this website focuses on transferring CPS members.

As further information becomes available this site will be updated accordingly.

This site provides information on retirement and other pension benefits provided under the Nuclear Decommissioning Industry Wide Pension Scheme.

This pension scheme is known as the Combined Nuclear Pension Plan, and has been established by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, NDA, for:

a) Transferring members previously in the Combined Pension Scheme, CPS

CNPP Trust Deed and Rules

  • This website does not cover every aspect of the CNPP.
  • The full details are contained in the Definitive Trust Deed and Rules, which will be the legal basis of the scheme.
  • Nothing on this website can replace the Trust Deed and Rules, and if there is any difference, the Trust Deed and Rules will apply.

This will affect current Site Licence Companies (SLC) members of the CPS if and when ownership of their SLC passes to the private sector.

b) Transferring members previously in the Group Pension Scheme, GPS

This will affect SLC members of the GPS if they are unable to remain in the GPS.

c) New employees joining a SLC when it is operating in the private sector
